The designers of 4U had a very clear goal,  this new chair needed not only a strong design but also great comfort.

To achieve this they decided to involve the department of Ergonomics of the Service of Transfer of Technology of the University of Trieste in the product development.  

This team of researchers has very high skills in ergonomics as they already work for the automotive market dealing with some of the most important brands in the world.

The elegant lines of the chair are therefore adapted to ensure the highest level of comfort taking into consideration the posture of end-users and the correct use of the chair.

Besides this scientific approach, they used their knowledge and expertise of 25 years in the office seating market to develop all the details that make the 4U chair complete and highly functional: height-adjustable lumbar support, sliding seat, height adjustable arms with a rotating sliding pad and cold injected foams for the seat and back with variable density to ensure good comfort during long use.

All components have been engineered to accomplish one of the most strict tests for the strength and durability of office chairs, which is the American standard ANSI-Bifma X5.1-2011/5.
