Pedrali is one of the most iconic hallmarks of Italian design, known for producing some of the world’s most recognised contemporary furniture for public spaces, offices and homes.
In 1963, Mario Pedrali founded a small workshop in the town of Palazzolo Sull’oglio, in the province of Brescia, where he began to produce his first outdoor collections of wrought iron seats. From the 1970’s onwards, the company began working with Italian and foreign architects and designers, specialising ever more in industrial production targeting the contract furniture sector. Today, under the leadership of his children Monica and Giuseppe, the company’s use of different materials and collaboration with over 300 designers have allowed Pedrali to achieve important awards such as the 2011 Compasso d’Oro ADI for the famed Frida Chair.
Pedrali’s beautifully curated collection is the result of a careful and accurate research aimed to create industrial design products with original shapes made of plastic, metal, wood as well as upholstered. A wide range of chairs, tables, complements and lamps are manufactured exclusively in Italy at company production sites through a design process, which combines tradition and innovation, engineering excellence and creative brilliance.
A champion of the Made In Italy movement, Pedrali have invested great time and effort in producing durable products, both from the aesthetic point of view and from resistance – the first element that ensures sustainability.
Utmost quality and respect for the environment are well-established practices, validated by certifications such as ISO 9001:2015 for the quality of Pedrali’s business processes and ISO 14001:2015 for production based on a sustainable environmental policy. Making durable products, both from an aesthetic perspective and in terms of resistance, is the key element to ensuring sustainability. From the design phase, Pedrali’s items of furniture are conceived to be disassembled and produced through processes aimed at limiting consumption. Wood-based products are FSC® C114358 certified, attesting to the use of wood from certified forests and finished with water-based coatings composed mostly of plant-based resins.
