Manel Molina studied interior design at EINA Art and Design School (Barcelona). From 1985 to 1989, he worked as an industrial designer at Estudi Miguel Milà. He also collaborated regularly with the company Fco. Llorens, focusing on architecture and interior design projects. During this period, he also developed personal projects such as window displays, exhibition stands, and ephemeral architecture.
In 1991, he partnered with Alberto Lievore and Jeannette Altherr to found the studio Lievore Altherr Molina. Since its early years, the studio has developed industrial design projects, consulting, and art direction for several local and international companies, with a focus on furniture, interior design, product design, and packaging.
At the same time, he began a teaching career, giving seminars and courses at several Spanish universities. Over the years, the studio has received several national and international awards, exhibiting their work in cities such as Barcelona, Cologne, Chicago, Stockholm, Helsinki, Lisbon, London, Louisiana, Madrid, Malmö, Milan, New York, Paris, and Tokyo. Their projects and ideas have been regularly published in prestigious design magazines.
In 2016, he began a new professional chapter by founding his own studio, Estudi Manel Molina. Together with collaborators Raimon Monsarro and Daniel Castro, and with the addition of Blanca Roigé, the new studio focuses on furniture and product design projects, as well as consulting.
