Born in 1966, Marco Zito graduated under Vittorio Gregotti at the IUAV in 1994. Zito is an Associate professor of Industrial Design at the University IUAV in Venice and operates out of his studio in the city, specialising in product design, interior design, and architecture. He’s been invited to lecture across globe including the Industrial Design Centre of Montevideo (Uruguay), San Marco Centre of Kigali (Rwanda), and the IMC (Industrial Modernisation Centre) of Cairo (Egypt).
With a decorated career, Zito has been featured in the ADI (Association for Industrial Design) Design Index in 2004, 2007, 2011, 2013 and 2016 for various projects, was the recipient of a the ‘Design for Innovation’ trophy at Batimat in 2005, and the winner for his “Matitalia” pencil design – created in celebration of the 150th anniversary of Italian unity.
