In The Antipodes with Castledex

In August, we dived into the world of Australian design and manufacturing with Castledex for their In The Antipodes event in Perth. It was great to see design enthusiasts come together to chat about the fantastic strides the Australian furniture industry is taking, as well as the challenges we're tackling together.

To support our Perth-based partner for some of P4's brands, our Directors Simon Duerden and Marika Redmond spoke to the lively crowd about our efforts in the local assembly, upholstery, design and complete licensed production undertaken by P4 in Melbourne, specifically focussing on several product ranges from Italian brand True Design. Showcased product families included Abisko, Blade, Code, EightyHive and Sho.

Furnished Forever, a new brand to P4's careful curation that champions, expanded on their Humble collection at the event by introducing a coffee table to the family. Founders René Linssen and Elliot Bastianon both place great value on Australian manufacturing industries, and all Furnished Forever products are designed and fabricated domestically. With Furnished Forever’s home base located in Canberra, particular emphasis has been placed on manufacturers in the ACT and Southern NSW region to allow a direct dialogue between the brand and the industry, ensuring every piece meets the high standards of the studio.

The event was characterised by enthusiasm and boundless energy - we'd love to extend our thanks to Castledex for hosting and having us be a part of such a great celebration of Australian design and manufacturing excellence.
