Salone 2019 Catch Up: Here’s What True Launched This Year!

At the recently concluded Salone del Mobile 2019, Italian design brand, True showcased a selection of new furniture from its collection titled Extraordinary. Everyday. True has worked with Aldo Parisotto, P+F Architetti’s Art Director to develop the collection’s contemporary product lines. The choice of material, colour palette and design, all hint at the furniture’s suitability for a multitude of spaces dedicated to either work or hospitality, both in the office and at home.

The 2019 Extraordinary. Everyday collection comes with a few new surprises…

Code

Designed by Aldo Parisotto & Massimo Formenton, Code’s informal and modular seating system offers a world of structural possibilities. While simple geometric signs make up its form, Code’s design is primarily inspired by the ergonomics linked to people’s lifestyle today. Code is made up of pouffes and maxi pouffes made more comfortable with backrests and integrated tables.  At the crux of Code’s design, however, lies its ability to reconfigure to any space or setting, making it ideal for use in either solitary or shared moments.

E-quo

True Design also revealed E-quo, a new and hybrid multi-seating concept developed by Orlandini Design. E-quo’s form is sleek, compact and incorporates elements of a bench for seating, as well as a fence for leaning on. The design is equipped with the option of electrical wiring and USB ports and works well to provide support to recharge laptops, make a phone call or even scribble down a quick note.

The Extraordinary. Everyday collection also includes Eighty – composed of tables and coffee tables with large shapes and sinuous lines – it's a curvy aesthetic reminiscent of the 80s. The Slight sofa collection with new wooden frame, on the other hand, is a departure from the classic padded sofa and appears thin as a leaf, making it ideal for waiting areas as well as domestic interiors.
