ORGATEC 2022 Catch Up: True's New Abisko | Modular

White on White was True's theme for ORGATEC this year, showcasing the interplay of shades between the bright snow white, soft greys and warm timber tones, but despite the serene subtlety of the colour palette, one new product strikingly stood out from the rest.

Abisko | Modular quite literally builds upon the iconic original design by Claesson Koivisto Rune in which softly curved cushion shapes are sharply juxtaposed with a solid oakwood base and straight steel legs. Swirling throughout the exhibit in varying shades of soft whites and greys, True addressed Orgatec’s 2022 theme ‘New Visions of Work’ through the creation of small ‘rooms’ within an open space and the encouragement of collaboration. 

An innovative system that that allows endless combinations of upholstery fabrics and finishes, Abisko | Modular easily adapts to an array of environments without compromising on design integrity thanks to its classic, consistent wooden frame detail.

To complement Abisko | Modular the natural timber tones of Flow brought a warmth to the display, seamlessly tying into the sinuous nature of the exhibit with their characteristic fluid and continuous line design. Patch provided a textured backdrop with a mix of both wooden and fabric acoustic panels. The collection, in addition to ensuring acoustic comfort, is also perfect to divide spaces between areas and provide privacy without isolating people from their surrounding environment – an ideal solution for the workplaces of tomorrow where spaces must flexibly adapt to house social catch ups and creative ideation.
